Job Summary
We are looking for a parts runner to join our team who will build strong working relationships within the organization as well as with Hickman’s Family Farms outside vendors. A parts runner will drive a pick up and be responsible for the delivery and the pickup of parts, tools, supplies and equipment at various locations, both within the company and outside vendors.
A delivery parts runner is responsible to pick up, sorting, and delivering internal mail. is also responsible for running all returns and picking up all parts needed by shop for mechanics. A delivery parts runner needs to be energetic, self-motivated and always an egg-straordinary representation of Hickman’s Family Farms.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Pick up mail from each department every day.
- Pick up and distribute internal documents as necessary.
- Follow and obey all traffic laws and regulations while on main roads, as well as all following posted speed limits and dust rules here on farm.
- Provide assistance to the Shop operations as necessary including putting away parts when you return from the parts/mail run, to cleaning the shop.
- Pick up parts from various locations for shop and rest of company.
- Pre-trip the company vehicle you will be using throughout your day.
- Responsible for keeping company vehicle cleaned and gassed up.
- Secure delivery of parts , supplies, tools and equipment
- Prioritize deliveries to meet demands
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Communicate between dispatch and vendors
Qualifications
- Must have a current and valid current drivers license
- Clean Driving Record required.
- Insurable with HFF auto insurance
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized
- Self-motivated, dependable and able to work independently
- Must speak and write English ( required)
- Basic Computer Knowledge
