We are looking for a (Human Resources) HR Generalist to join our team.The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works under the Direction of the Director of HR/OD in completing department goals along with other team members. This position carries out responsibilities and assists in the following functional areas: HR Strategic Management, Workforce Planning & Development, Training & Staff Development, Organizational Development, Total Rewards, Employee & Labor Relations, Safety & Security, Information Systems/Metrics, and Diversity/EEO.

You’ll act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities/Accountabilities to create Raving Hideaway Fans:
- Administers various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Assists with compensation program; assists with the performance evaluation program.
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Conducts recruitment efforts as needed; conducts new-employee orientations if needed; monitors career-pathing program; writes and places advertisements as needed.
- Updates, maintain, and manages HRIS.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed action.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Maintain complete privacy of company data and employee information – especially pay and pay levels of all team members.
- Maintain and administer employee reward opportunities such as Tenure awards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Processes garnishments, incident reports, workers comp, and handles investigations and disputes of unemployment claims -
- Markets Hideaway as a great place to work and gets our “Brand” out in the market taking opportunities such as job fairs.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements/Essential Functions:
- 1-2 years experience in Human Resources preferred
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems; POS systems
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Ability to become a Notary
- Ability to occasionally drive for the job
- Generally, work in office Mon-Fri 8-5, however, our restaurants are open nights and weekends, so this position will be responsible to check emails regularly for any time sensitive actions that may need to be addressed.
- Previous work in a restaurant is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
