Job Description
High Stakes Pizza is a start-up pizza shop focused on serving the best NY-Style pizza and baked goods the right way - made from scratch, by hand. I'm looking to grow the team - and have a variety of tasks/roles that need to be filled. Initially I'm looking to fill about 20 hours a week between 4-9 Thursday-Sunday, but willing to work with the right candidate to find more hours if needed. Tons of potential to expand your role/responsibilities as the business grows if that's of interest. We currently operate out of a shared kitchen, but hope to find our own place in the next year as business continues to improve.
Pizza is a highly competitive industry, and we seek to differentiate ourselves by putting in the effort/dedication to master our craft. Much of the work in the shop will require some combination of either previous experience, or quick on the job learning. Big plus if you have previous experience stretching/tossing NY Style pizza, or cooking in deck ovens. Passion for cooking the best food in town, and taking pride in your craft is also important.
I know food service is a hard industry - I want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to thrive and get out what they put in/benefit from their own hard work. As a member of the High Stakes team - I can provide the opportunity to sell any specialty items you may be passionate about (provided they fit into our operations) directly through the High Stakes Pizza menu, and keep the net profits. I'm also open to providing variable compensation based on how the business is doing - I want everyone working to be invested, and part of a high performing team. Money is tight right now, but there's a lot of potential for growth as business continues to improve.
There are a lot of different types of work at High Stakes - I don't expect anyone to be a master at all of these, but the more roles you can fill the smoother it will be when things get hectic during the rushes.
