High Transit LLC assists heavy hauling companies in moving a wide variety of oversize and overweight loads. We provide specialty services for customers in the civil construction, transportation, building construction, manufacturing, Marcellus Shale, and heavy equipment industries. We are seeking a Parts Inventory Coordinator to assist in our High Transit Garage.
The Parts Inventory Coordinator will be responsible in maintaining an adequate fleet parts inventory to ensure minimal disruptions in servicing the High Transit Group, located in Lancaster, PA
This is a 1st Shift position working 8:30AM-5PM Monday - Friday.
Starting at $20.00/hr.
Essential Job Functions
Fundamental job requirements which an individual must be able to perform in order to accomplish the basic duties of the job.
- Locate quality replacement parts and supplies at the lowest possible cost and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for inventory control in excess of $100,000 at all High Transit
- Responsible for procuring parts for inventory and equipment for all High SBU’s in excess ofn$1,000,000 annually.
- Work and communicate with all Fleet Maintenance personnel as well as vendors about information or situations that may adversely affect the utilization of fleet vehicles and/or fleet operations.
- Keep current and pertinent records to comply with all Company policies, federal, state, and local
- Maintain good personal relationships with vendors, Fleet Maintenance personnel and all other Company co-workers.
- Prioritize the Parts Runners’ schedule to address the needs of other departments within High
- Dispatch parts runners to address the needs of the Fleet Maintenance
- Maintain a parts area in an orderly, clean, and professional
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Assist with road breakdowns as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:
- A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required
- Understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, highly preferred
- Computer Saavy required
- State Driver's License required
- Familiar with automotive parts, required.
