As a Payroll/HCM Implementation Specialist you are responsible for being the professional resource assigned to manage the project for all new clients to handle the needs assessment/analysis, data collection, configuration of the payroll and human resources systems, testing, training, and processing of the first few payrolls in close coordination with the client and other departments within the organization as necessary. This position provides a positive and high-quality service to all new clients onboarding with Highflyer and requires thorough understanding of payroll practices, processes, and applicable taxation laws. Clients are small and mid-size businesses from a broad range of private sector industries.
The Payroll/HCM Implementation Specialist will:
Serve as the single point of contact with multiple, concurrent new clients during the implementation process
Be comfortable with project management and leading a team as needed
Create and maintain the project schedule and appropriate milestones in a variety of medium based on client needs. Oversees accurate, timely, and successful installation and conversion of iSolved and non iSolved product solutions through the entire implementation cycle.
Configures a customized payroll, time, and HCM platform in coordination with other services sold and collaborates with other team members and departments as necessary
Be responsible for the overall collection and importing of data to build current year payroll to balance the new system to previous quarterly and individual payroll information
Communicate professionally both internally with other departments and externally with clients/vendors regarding the status of the implementation
Be comfortable in client facing situations to help with various stages of the implementation and/or training clients face to face
Focus heavily on accuracy and attention to detail for work completed while acting with a sense of urgency to help meet internal/external deadlines
Help outline and update internal processes as necessary and services as a resource for other team members including acting as a mentor for new employees
This is what we're looking for:
2 years of experience working in an environment implementing and/or processing and reconciling payrolls.
3-5 years of experience working in a client service environment
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in accounting preferred. Industry certifications (FPC/CPP/PHR, etc. highly desirable).
Proficient in the latest web technologies and working knowledge of various operating systems
Excellent analytical skills and time management skills and ability to work both independently to provide solutions to the client and as part of a team to accomplish tasks
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and client facing experience
Proficient using Microsoft Office
Effective in handling multiple concurrent large projects
Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States or hold a visa that allows you to work in the United States without being sponsored by an employer
