Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to support the growth and development of our company. HR Generalist will be directing company’s recruitment policies and staffing objectives as requested by the upper management.

Responsibilities:

• Support the administration and coordination of employee personnel files adhering to company-wide policies and procedures
• Organize and maintain company database and personnel records
• Responsible for accurate completion of health benefit package per defined processes, procedures and regulations
• Process new hire paperwork, develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination process
• Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedule)
• Conduct and arrange interviews, reference checks
• Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of HR experience in Transportation Industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (an asset)
• Transportation/Logistics background is an asset
• Strong leadership and training skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Computer knowledge- working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent administrative and time management skills
• Strong leadership and training skills
