The HR Manager will support the forward planning, engagement, and performance of the workforce, embedding HR practices and raising managerial capability for the assigned region. The individual in this position will also influence and help drive the business objectives for management teams in the assigned region, corporate level HR strategy, organizational design, and workforce-related plans, supporting the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
Support executive and regional teams to drive organizational change including associate engagement and team building that result in decreased turnover and increased retention.
Develop and maintain an effective and proactive working relationship between HR teams and management to ensure open lines of communication and the delivery of innovative and practical solutions.
Work strategically and operationally with the business to ensure HR support is provided to enable them to meet their goals and objectives.
Provide high level employee relations advice, processes, support, and guidance to regional area management team necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of associate morale and motivation. Conduct periodic surveys to measure associate satisfaction and associate engagement.
Deliver a high degree of timely customer and consultative services and support to all levels of associates and across all verticals of the organization.
Provide end to end recruitment and selection support to ensure the business can attract top talent in a cost effective and timely manner.
Provide a positive contribution to the development and implementation of corporate level HR policies and procedures in line with company goals, legislation, and best practice.
Implement, utilize, and maintain the HR information system and other tools to create efficiencies, eliminate administrative tasks, empower associates, and meet the operational needs of the company.
Prepare and manage departmental budget for assigned region.
Manage the preparation and maintenance of such reports and records as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports and metrics for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
Use independent judgment to assign team members work duties to meet operational requirements. Make sure that team members and co-workers have the information needed to perform their job duties.
Supervise team members in a manner that enables growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement. Establish performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and performance reviews to ensure that team members understand how their job duties support the company’s mission and have the right tools/resources to do their jobs well. Use independent judgment to ensure that team members follow company policy and maintain a safe work environment by encouraging safe practices and promptly resolving violations, including initiating, or recommending rewards and discipline as needed.
Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
Travel is periodically required to the company’s manufacturing and distribution locations.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
Four-year degree in Human Resources, Business, Human Development, or other related field required.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions required.
A minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience required. Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) required.
Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement, preferred.

While conducting training and interacting with associates and managers at the company’s manufacturing and distribution facilities, the individual may be exposed to hazardous physical or chemical conditions, including mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gasses, poor ventilation, extreme temperatures, and intense noise.
Travel to the company’s manufacturing and distribution facilities is periodically required.
