The Role
Seeking an energetic, engaged and capable Shipbuilder to Lead a group of highly effective Engineers, Designers and Engineering Technicians supporting 2nd shift Advanced Weapons Elevator (AWE) installation and test support onboard CVN 79. The selected candidate for this position will have the opportunity to frequently access CVN 79 AWE spaces, working directly with Engineering, Test, Production and Construction team members on the deckplate.
2nd Shift differential pay will apply.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
