Summary:
The role entails working across multiple functions within the servicing department, covering tasks such as invoice payments, reporting, transfers, boarding, deboarding, cashiering, quality assurance (QA), accounting, and IT.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate inter and intra-departmental activities, resolving inquiries or issues related to loan documentation.
- Respond to inquiries promptly, referring them to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Assume responsibility for special projects, including gathering data and preparing reports for senior management, audits, and other personnel.
- Process, solve, and address complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries.
- Answer telephones and provide assistance to investors as required.
- Monitor investor account details for non-payments and delayed payments.
- Collaborate closely with investors to research and resolve queries related to billings.
- Process and post credit card transactions from investors.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Navigate the servicing system to ensure timely and accurate posting of borrower payments.
- Monitor bank accounts to ensure appropriate balances.
- Provide support in answering telephones and addressing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting for mortgage and/or financial industries.
