What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Painter who will be responsible for accurately and safely testing and adjusting equipment before parts arrive to be painted and plan ahead of daily paint line schedule; as well as ensuring there is enough designated paint at the workstation. Dedication and support to the organizations to ensure that all aspects of the company needs are being met.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

• 
  Possess the ability to plan ahead of daily paint line schedule, (i.e.) ensure enough paint is at workstation for color being painted to prevent .
• Test & adjust equipment before parts arrive at the paint booth.
• Touch up parts as needed to meet quality standards.
• Visually inspect parts being painted for defects (i.e. light paint, paint too heavy, etc.)
• Perform color changes following established procedures and time limits.
• Perform routine system startup/shutdown procedures where applicable.
• Perform preventive maintenance of washer system as required, (i.e. clean tanks, remove sludge, clean w/ pressure washer, adjust risers/nozzles, etc.).
• Adjust line speed to correspond with parts being painted.
• Perform preventive maintenance on powder booth, spray parts, etc.
• Ability to read a tape measure to the nearest 1/16”.
• Ability to read and interpret paint schedules
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with paint line team leaders and team members.
• Must be able to adapt to changing situations – rapidly.
• Possess the ability work overtime on short notice.
• Assume other activities and responsibilities from time-to-time as directed by supervision.

What are the basic qualifications?

• 
  HS Diploma/GED
• Pass Hillphoenix certification training
• Previous experience in a manufacturing painting position or powder coating experience is preferred
• Essential physical/environmental requirements
• Ability to hold up a paint gun and stand for extended periods of time up to 4 hours.
• May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling.
• Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs)
• Work is performed with a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
