POSITION : REAL ESTATE PROJECT MANAGER I
Description
Scope & Purpose:
This position will provide administrative, property management functions and manage small real estate projects as assigned by the VP of Real Estate ensuring the successful completion of projects. Candidate will manage Real Estate transactions involving the acquisition, disposition and leasing, including board write-ups, board approvals, document preparation, control and execution. The projects managed have minimal project visibility, impact and risk at the agency level.
Essential Functions & Duties:
- Performs administrative work and manages, coordinates and implements small real estate projects or parts of larger complex projects.
- Manages existing tenant leases and coordinates renewals and other tenant specific activities.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of contract drafts, requests for proposal, and other related documents for review.
- Manage assigned projects to ensure adherence to plan, schedule and scope.
- Identifies, tracks, monitors and communicates project-related tasks, issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the project implementation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of project management.
- Must have knowledge of the processes, activities, requirements and objectives of the Real Estate department.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve problems involving several variables or unique situations.
- Ability to understand and analyze real estate title work and title insurance requirements.
- Ability to manage a document control system to insure current and accurate reporting and status of projects.
- Ability to manage the details of projects, track activities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collect, organize and analyze data and make logical decisions.
- Ability to interact effectively, confidently and professionally with PTB officials and employees, PTB tenants and the general public.
- Ability to maintain files and records and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
- Must possess honesty, integrity and sound professional judgment.
Requirements
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in General Studies with a concentration in real estate property management or Paralegal; and
- Three or more years of experience in property/project management in Real Estate or experience directly related to the position duties.
- Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies listed above.
Special Requirements:
- Incumbent must possess a current and valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or capable of obtaining one within thirty days from the date of hire.
- Must successfully pass a seaport security background check.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily indoors though the employee will be required to go out of the office on site visits. Employee will be in contact with chemicals (i.e., toner for copier and facsimile machines), and materials (i.e. paper) normally found at offices. Employee will also be exposed to minimal noise and vibration.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequent computer use.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Salary : $59,100 - $74,800
