THE HISTORIC AND GLAMOROUS DRAKE HILTON HOTEL IS SEARCHING FOR AN EXPERIENCED SENIOR FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER TO HELP LEAD THE TEAM TO SUCCESS!
Celebrating 100 years, our historic hotel is on the Magnificent Mile and in the famed Gold Coast area of shops, dining, and nightlife. Walk to Oak Street Beach, Water Tower Place, and 360 Chicago. The hotel is favored for weddings in the Gold Coast Room and home to the iconic Palm Court for afternoon tea, once visited by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana. The Drake consists of 535 guest rooms and over 37,000 sq ft of event space with 21 event/meeting rooms.
Guests can join us for afternoon tea in Palm Court - once visited by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana. Coq D'oR, one of the first venues to secure a post-Prohibition liquor license, serves cocktails and comfort food. Cafe on Oak's counter is carved with the initials of Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio, and we serve their favorite Eggs Benedict in their honor. Room service is also available from each of our restaurants.
The ideal candidate we are searching for has a minimum of 2 years of management experience in a food and beverage setting with over 3 years in the Food and Beverage industry. Fine dining experience in a hotel is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate would have full availability, great time management and organization skills, and will have the ability to be a team player and support the team wherever needed. A strong background in Beverage is preferred. Our department is a Unionized department, so previous experience working in a union environment is a plus!

What will I be doing?
Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.
