The monumental Capital Hilton is seeking a full-time Mechanic to join their team! This historic hotel is in the heart of the nation’s capital, less than a mile from McPherson Square metro station and less than two miles from the National Mall, Georgetown, and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
A Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel's equipment and machinery in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 3 years hands on experience in the field, demonstrate great customer service and have full availability to work the ever changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.
Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both PM shifts (4PM-12.30AM) and Overnight shifts (12AM-8.30AM), weekends and holidays as needed
Pay Rate: $44.58 per hour

What will I be doing?
As a Mechanic, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel's equipment and machinery in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Maintain, monitor, repair and conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of hotel equipment and machinery
- Conduct scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance
- Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
