The position includes a variety of tasks involving the day-to-day operations of the Hinds / KLLM Driving Academy. This position supports the development and implementation of eligibility, intake, assessment, case management, evaluation methods, tools, and other documents needed to support the Hinds Community College / KLLM Commercial Truck Driving Program.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
An Associate of Applied Science Degree with administrative, advising, or academic planning higher education experience; or five years related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Skills :
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential at all times.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Colleague, Workday or similar database management software, Canvas, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet software, and other software as required.
Strong and pleasant telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally and courteously manage internal and external customers and co-workers on the phone and in person.
The ability to take initiative, use good judgement, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines for submission of reports without reminders from supervisor.
Ability to work successfully without supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES , include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
Develop and implements eligibility, intake, assessment, case management, evaluation methods, tools, and other documents needed to support the Hinds Community College / KLLM Commercial Truck Driving Program.
Support customized service delivery plans for program participants, as well as collect and provide information for grants.
Work directly with potential students to ensure they have made proper admissions to Hinds Community College to include but not limited to completing admission application, securing proper residency documentation, high school / college transcripts and securing proper placement test scores.
Administer the Compass Exam and ensuring that the score are properly applied to the student's file and Data system.
Make sure that the appropriate intake forms are completed for grant participants.
Deliver orientation business class to each student and making sure documentation is entered into the Canvas system.
Build weekly classes in the Colleague / Workday system and enroll students each week into the Colleague / Workday system.
Work with classroom, lab, and internship instructors to ensure grades are properly place in the Canvas system.
Serve on assigned college committees and participate in various school-sponsored activities.
Provide written correspondence for students needing or requesting information.
Advise online students about policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authority.
