Job Responsibilities:
- Promote safety of all within the company as well as others around
- Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Follow all safety regulations
- Develop, prepare and ensure Safety Plans (site specific) to be utilized on each job site
- Build relationships
- Foster all relationships and encourage those around to promote and practice safety
- Build a network of communication to facilitate honest and open communication
- Work with all departments and levels of staff to identify and manage safety risks
- Continue to evolve with personal development opportunities and contribute knowledge to the company team
- Maintain professionalism
- Drive team-oriented tasks and personal safety development amongst other employees
- Support onsite/field teams with safety protocols within the area of project construction, including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, trenching, electrical, and any other aspects relevant to the project or specific site
- Enforce federal, state, and local safety standards especially with project specific health and safety standards
- Maintain all safety records
- Provide support for all departments, as needed, along with assigned duties
- Track company training including CPR, First-Aid and OSHA and promote collaboration with the HR Manager
- Actively audit and identify safety programs for improvement opportunities
- Procore experience preferred
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to read people and adapt to achieve results
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health, or related experience
- Valid Drivers License
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- Onsite construction experience
- Active Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
- Proof of training/competency in crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety is a must
- 5 years of experience in construction safety
- Exceptional communication and listening skills, bilingual is a plus
- Must be a team play
- Organize a team with capacity to motivate and boost moral
- Must be able to exert up to pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently in an office environment
- Must be able to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally when working in the field environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, type, perform computer work, use the telephone and other standard office equipment
- Occasional activities of office environment include balancing, bending, stooping, reaching above shoulder height, and repetitive motions
