Hire Up Staffing is currently hiring for a Staff Accountant /Bookkeeper for a well established CPA Firm located in Fresno, CA.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm client is flexible with hours

Job Duties
- Perform accounting services including maintaining and preparing financial reports
- Prepares tax returns including individual, trust, partnership and S-corporation tax returns
- Analyze client source documentation
- Work directly with clients to gather information and tax documents
- Respond to client inquires
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Prepare payroll tax returns and 1099/W?2 filings
- Communicate with clients in person, on the phone and in writing
- Complete monthly, quarterly and annual bookkeeping projects including account reconciliation and work paper documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintains confidentiality and understands the requirements of CPA state regulations and requirements.
- Keeps CPA/Partner fully informed of job progress and problems as they arise
- Tracks time on client engagements and documents per firm policy
- Ability to support multiple projects and deadlines
- Demonstrates compliance with firm policies
- Prepares neat and organized work
- Follows directions and determines when more information is needed
- Understands and prepares complete work papers and documents pursuant to firm policy
- Finishes projects within specified budgeted time
- Exhibits appropriate knowledge of technical matters
- Informs others of his/her availability for assignment of additional billable work
- Willingness to work increased hours during peak work cycls
- Willingness to travel as required
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees and supervisors
- Ability to research and develop technical knowledge, identify issues, and analyze data
- Learns from mistakes and avoids repeating mistakes
- Clear understanding of double entry accounting and GAAP standards
- Ability and willingness to ask clear and precise questions and seek information
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates a cooperative and professional attitude
- Self starter and team player
