Job Description
Title: Contractor- Scrum Master/Product Owner Location: St Louis MO Duration: 12 months
We have an open position for a contract Scrum Master/Product Owner. The contract Scrum Master/Product Owner will be both the Agile servant leader supporting the agreed to Team Agreement and leading the team’s Agile ceremonies, as well as being the primary interface/team liaison to all Business Owners and stakeholders supported by their Agile team.
The product developed and supported by this team is a .NET/C# based web application migrating from an on-premises environment to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud environment, while implementing new features and functionality. This contractor will augment the Application Development and Technology Office (ADTO) within the Supervision, Credit and Learning Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and will report to the ADTO Senior Manager. The individual will work with the ADTO Senior Manager and the ADTO Portfolio Product Owner, as well as Business and IT stakeholders, to define, manage and execute on a product roadmap and the detailed user stories necessary to deliver the required team product and services.
The desired candidate is a certified Agile Scrum Master and Product Owner with experience migrating custom applications to an AWS cloud environment,
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Portfolio Product Owner, help define and drive the Product mission for an Agile application development team supporting a critical.NET/C# application being migrated from an existing technology stack and on-premises executing environment to a more current technology stack in an AWS cloud environment.
- Work with Business Owners and other stakeholders to define the current business needs of the assigned application and establish a product mission from which the roadmap can be defined and maintained.
- Translate product mission into Features and further decompose defined Features into User Stories that can be implemented by the team.
- Be the voice of our collaborators and owners, identifying gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, managing the backlog, and prioritizing the work within sprints.
- Lead the portfolio intake process and oversee the prioritization of work within the assigned team. Work with the business owners and leadership to prioritize work based on the agreed to portfolio roadmap.
- Manage and execute on the product roadmap.
- Lead agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, product demos, retrospectives, sprint planning).
- Analyze and compile release reviews, user studies, customer feedback, operational metrics, and feedback to identify and understand needs for products to share with leadership.
- Develop metrics into product measurement techniques and reports for monitoring progress and coordinate release activities and monitor product performance, adoption and operational health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar field of study or commensurate experience.
- 3 years related experience in product ownership, project management or IT business analysis.
- Proven servant leader with solid experience as a Product Owner and a Scrum Master, supporting a Scrum based Agile application development team.
- Must exhibit a collaborative style and can share technical ideas and approaches with others.
- Passion and commitment to Agile principles.
- Experience in an application development environment.
- Strong organization, collaboration and communications skills.
- Background in and understanding of current technologies.
