Description:
The Project Manager (PM) leads the coordination of projects, focused on clinical process development, tech transfer and GMP manufacturing of cell and gene based therapies. The PM is responsible for managing project scope, budget, forecast, resources, and deliverables. The PM, the primary point of contact for client communication. The PM will use organizational, collaboration, influence and leadership skills to initiate, plan, execute and monitor client programs. The PM will lead cross-functional program teams and partner with internal business, technical leadership together with subject matter experts to deliver project results in an efficient manner consistent with client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish the client/project team written/verbal communication plan, including project/client governance, establishment of internal/external SharePoint site and folder structure.
The PM is responsible for developing an overall project timeline, scope, managing budget, forecast, resources, stakeholder management and deliverables.
Technical process understanding to enable strategic goal, tactical planning, and high-level activity and resource planning.
Proactively identifies significant project risks, develops mitigation strategies, escalates to leadership, and implements approved mitigation steps
Develops and maintains subject matter expertise to effectively plan and fully execute assigned projects
Provides timely, comprehensive project status reports, including budgets and timelines
Manages cross-functional, multi-site, multi-national project teams.
Monitors progress of assigned projects/programs to ensure on-time milestone and budget/revenue recognition, while ensuring high quality deliverables are provided to the client.
Works to develop and leverage project management competencies across the company while strengthening the support capabilities of Program Management.
Demonstrated ability to independently drive programs and overcome obstacles.
Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships both internally and externally, to deliver results. Resolves conflict effectively.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
BS in a scientific discipline. Advanced degree (M.S., M.B.A., PhD) preferred.
PMP/CAPM or equivalent certification or course work preferred.
Knowledgeable of drug discovery/drug development process
Minimum 3-5 years direct experience in project management, pharmaceutical industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Biologics Cell Culture, Purification and/or Analytics preferred.
Professional experience in a related field such as Biologics, Biotechnology, Pharma preferred.
