Position Summary:
The HR Assistant is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This position involves verifying invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable activity.
Position Responsibilities:
- Greets visitors, applicants, and vendors
- Responds to employee questions and concerns
- Answers incoming calls and routes to the appropriate party
- Schedules interviews and supports applicants through the new hire process
- Assists with recruiting and job fairs
- Enters temporary workers into ADP system
- Coordinates with leaders and corresponds with temporary agencies to ensure proper coverage levels are met
- Tracks hours for temp to hire process
- Sets new hires up with finger scans on timeclock
- Updates daily call-out log
- Creates new hire files, termination files and updates I-9s as needed
- Handles all incoming and outgoing mail
- Supports company events and decorates for holidays
- Ensures birthday and anniversary gifts/cards are distributed in a timely manner
- Tracks Fed Ex supply level and replenishes as necessary
- Provides support for the HR department
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in Human Resources field preferred
- 5 years of human resources or experience in a similar field
- Proficient in Microsoft such as including Outlook, Word, Excel
- Prior experience using ADP Software helpful
- Strong customer service skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to multitask and adhere to deadlines
- Dedicated team player who can also work independently
- Ideally located in the greater Dover, DE area or able to commute
Salary : $46,800 - $59,200
