Job Description:
The Training Specialist will support our client(s) by providing training and communication support to optimize the development of curriculum and instruction delivery. The Training Specialist will leverage available technologies to develop and analyze training data, develop learning tools, evaluate efficacy, and craft communication products. This position is a hybrid role primarily working remotely, with client engagement activities in Washington D.C., Emmitsburg, MD, and various locations across the United States.
Position Duties:
- Develop and manage interactive templates within various authoring tools and learning platforms;
- Create data reporting dashboards utilizing platforms such as Tableau or Power BI;
- Create infographics, templates, flyers, and branding materials to support training programs and enhance visual communication;
- Utilize software tools to visualize participant survey results and demographic data, providing actionable insights;
- Analyze complex data sets to identify training needs and trends;
- Use data insights to make informed decisions on the types of training to develop and execute;
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through data analysis and feedback;
- Build complex systems using Microsoft tools and implement data automation techniques to streamline training processes and improve operational efficiency;
- Apply 508 compliance standards in the development of all materials;
- Complete quality assurance reviews to ensure resources meet all requirements and are without errors before delivery;
- Learn and apply customer needs/business knowledge to ensure client satisfaction of delivery outcomes;
- Develop curriculum and training asset production projects and other interactive and eLearning resources on the primary topic of grants management;
- Assist with the development of an independent study, web-based system training environment;
- Develop multimedia training resources and other development resources on larger-scale projects;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Communications or equivalent that align with this position;
- 8 years of experience (6 years with advanced degree), with demonstrated success in the training field;
- Verifiable competency and experience in development of data reporting dashboards (i.e., Tableau, Power BI);
- Demonstrated ability to work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and instructors to interpret content and find instructionally sound and visually appealing ways to convey content and to learners;
- Experience in managing multiple simultaneous development projects;
- Familiarity in eLearning content development software and LCMS platforms;
- Demonstrated competency with Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro (Samples required);
- Proficiency in the use of file-sharing, word processing software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Planner and/or Project;
- Experience with the file sharing platforms – SharePoint;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Must be a US Citizen as this position requires the candidate to be eligible for a DHS Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal government and/or management consulting experience preferred;
- Proficiency with 508 compliance standards.
