Position Profile

The Branch Manager acts as an entrepreneur and owns the responsibility for the overall success of the branch. Branch Manager is responsible for supervising and coaching staff, managing the branch location through efficient daily operations, developing strategies to promote growth and meet departmental goals. Ensures that the branch is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Accountable to achieving branch performance goals including growth and profitability measures, service and NPS expectations, and development of staff.  
 

 Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, including scheduling, cash management, production efforts, and sound business practices. 
  • Manage the development and execution of a branch growth plan, evaluating opportunities and performance by utilizing production reports, operating statements, and budget control efforts.
  • Establish performance goals and measurements to support growth plan.
  • Manage branch budget and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and services in order to efficiently mentor, support and motivate staff to achieve individual and branch growth goals.
  • Manage the safety and security of the branch, maintaining knowledge of security systems and keeping accurate access control records.
  • Ensure that maintenance, repairs, and other facility needs are met.
  • Proactively assess risks and identify inefficiencies to improve branch operations.

Leadership And Professionalism

  • Hiring, onboarding, ongoing development, and performance management of branch staff.
  • Key influencer in change in status decisions for staff, including promotions and terminations.
  • Manage complex or difficult member and staff situations and respond effectively under pressure.
  • Network and attend events within communities to grow and attract new business, partnering with business development to increase visibility, awareness, and community support opportunities.
  • Develop solid working relationships and collaborate with internal business units to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Easily adapt to change and embrace new ideas and encourage others to do the same.
  • Flexible in meeting changing needs of the organization and able to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
  • Model Hiway’s core purpose, core values, and GPS standards and hold associates accountable to demonstrating the same.
  • Meet scorecard performance goals. 
  • Adhere to any and all current and/or future policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Assume all duties as assigned by management. 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • At least 5 years of experience working in the Financial industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Leadership/Management.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, reasoning, analytical and communication skills.
  • Well organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must possess problem solving, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Display professional image and maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Proficient with mathematical concepts such as statistics, ratios, fractions, percentages.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, financial reports, legal and complex documents.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to meet the changing demands of the organization.


Location: Minneapolis, MN

Work HoursIn OfficeMonday-Friday & Occasional Saturdays, Full-Time, Exempt.
