Overview: HKS Richmond is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team. Specializes in marketing for a select region. Collaborates with regional practice leaders on marketing strategies, target clients and project pursuits. Manages and creates pursuit submissions and marketing collateral. Collaborates on project photography, content and public relations. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of marketing practices and procedures to complete assignments with integrity and creativity. Seeks opportunities to provide support that achieves firm values and goals. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to strategic marketing solutions. Responsibilities: Position: Works closely with studio leaders to support their business development program as the go-to and trusted source for business development efforts Monitors target client information with practice leaders, BD specialists and CRM system to assist with proactive marketing strategies Collaborates with BD on competitive intelligence, client and competition research as needed to support pursuit efforts Manages the pursuit submission process with practice pursuit team on go/no-go efforts, pursuit requirements, scheduling, assignments and maintains deadlines Manages and creates qualifications packages, proposals submissions and interview collateral including content and graphics (writing/editing text and design layouts) working within firm brand standards Collaborates on regional market implementation efforts and regional focused materials such as case studies, project imagery and external communications Provides strategic thinking related to marketing outreach: brochures, qualification packages, fee proposals and presentations Acts as a liaison for internal and external communications of regional marketing news and developments Mines big ideas and key project stories, then works with MarCom team to translate into materials, thought leadership campaigns, posts and publicity Tracks project milestones for grand openings, groundbreakings, completion, photography, etc. and collaborates with MarCom on related actions Works with photography manager and project teams to determine level of photography needed, associated costs and shoot details Collaborates with practice leadership and conference teams to coordinate practice conference messaging and speaking topics Collaborates with practice leadership and award submission teams to track award submission platforms, key projects for submission, deadlines and submission requirements Maintains and manages boiler plate information with marketing team Creates, maintains and updates marketing resource materials working with the marketing resource manager Updates and maintains information within firm’s project database system Assists teams in submissions for accreditation, fellowships honors and awards Cultural: Supports the firm’s cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and growth Acts with positive, service-driven attitude with a commitment to going above and beyond to help customers and team members Acts as a mentor by coaching and motivating project team members Seeks leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members and collaborating with team leaders Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with team members Manages conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environment Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices Financial: Manages pursuit information in CRM for accurate reporting Evaluates pursuit performance and marketing spends with regional management Collaborates in managing project to satisfy requirements with best possible ROI Responsible for providing cost analysis of requested custom options Responsible for the financial implications of overhead and chargeable time Revenue or Opportunity Generation: Collaborates with leaders to develop goals, objectives and strategies for proactively developing new business Leads the proposal process for pursuit of new work Partners in the interview process for pursuit of new work Prepares materials for business development introductions and relationship building Tracks leads, pursuits and debrief information, working with BD teams Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or related degree Typically with 5 years of marketing experience Previous experience with A/E firm preferred Proficiency in InDesign Experience in Photoshop and Illustrator preferred Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of and interest in architecture/interior design Excellent writing skills with experience in graphically designed page layouts Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence Excellent project management, interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and customers; ability to forge trusting relationships within a diverse team Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality #LI-KT1 If you currently work for HKS, please submit your application via the Internal Careers Portal.
