We are currently hiring for a Sales Engineer IV. This position provides pre and post-sales technical assistance regarding new business opportunities for HSC to include the Strategic Growth Group and Corporate Account teams. The Sales Engineer IV assesses the potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet client needs. This role also acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems.
What you will do in the position:
- Contributes across a broad technology spectrum including wireless communication, timing systems, and Cloud functionality to create client-specific configurations for lab and production environments.
- Helps in the development requirements for client-specific solutions requirement with Product Management.
- Works with the Innovation team to develop Proof of Concept (POC).
- Works with other technical experts within the company to meet client requirements.
- Guides technical aspects using best practices for integration, and provides advanced technical support throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Responsible for software and hardware solution delivery, configuration, and technical consulting during implementation.
- Triages and reports problems within the support and engineering departments, and drives investigation and delivery for any potential solutions.
- Gathers and documents system requirements and collaborates with sales, support, engineering, and product management to design and ensure the successful delivery of restaurant solutions based on business needs.
- Obtains, clarifies, and imparts technical knowledge regarding existing and newly released HME products.
- Participates in on-site visits and calls with the sales team to present technical solutions and respond to inquiries relative to technical aspects of solutions or products.
- Identifies and presents solutions for process improvements.
What you will need to succeed in this position:
- Minimum 7 years of previous experience in a Sales Engineering role.
- Proven track record working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and deadline-driven environment.
- Exercises sound judgment and creativity in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Excellent presentation skills to all C-levels.
- Ability to collaborate with customers, sales, and technical resource personnel in a professional manner.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of network topography, wireless technology, cloud solutions, embedded systems, and restaurant technology is a plus.
- Up to 50% of primarily domestic travel.
Pay Range: $117,120.00 - $146,400.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors.
