What We're Looking For

The time is now to join HNTB! We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager in our Arlington, VA office to lead our dynamic Mid-Atlantic Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for managing and mentoring marketing staff, implementing marketing strategies, and overseeing the division’s overall quality of marketing materials. Provides strategic direction/guidance to team in developing strategies for responding to and preparing materials.

Primary Focus Will Include:

• Managing diverse team of marketing specialists and graphic designers of varying levels of experience in the implementation and execution of technical strategies when preparing for client requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Ensuring best practices and standards of performance are maintained in delivering timely and quality proposals and other client-related marketing collateral
• Growing and maintaining marketing organization through hiring, onboarding, training and mentorship of staff, aligned with corporate business practices, to meet the increasing demands of our growing industry.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (inDesign, Photoshop, Adobe DC and Illustrator) as well as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing daily oversight and mentoring to a marketing team that aligns with the marketing strategy to drive quality work, on schedule, on budget and to the client's satisfaction.
• Manages intake requests and daily assignments. Establishes proper staffing levels and helps facilitate multi-office, multi-division, multi-discipline cooperation on areas such as job sharing and mega-project initiatives.
• Understands division sales goals and marketing budgets, as well as performance relative to these goals and budgets. Analyzes marketing costs and provides feedback to local and divisional leadership. Reviews budget recommendations and submit to leadership for approval.
• Participates and plays an active role in marketing related activities with the division, including leading strategy meetings, pursuit kick-off meetings, and providing training on HNTB’s sales tools and processes.
• Responsible for the ongoing development and refinement of quality assurance procedures. Serves as quality control reviewer of materials developed by the department to ensure schedules are met and various aspects of the proposals and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
• Works with division leadership to support the execution and monitoring of strategic business plans, client service plans and external relationship plans.
• Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, mentoring, development, and retention of staff, including performance and compensation reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
• 8 years relevant experience including 2 years of project leadership experience
