Position Overview:
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for developing a strategic review of market opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to maximize market share, and profit margins while increasing revenue growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. This a heavy travel position with up to 25% travel.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Strategically develops annual sales plans in support of the organization's strategy and objectives, which includes the development, implementation, and execution of sales of Multiple lanes of equipment including Waterblasting Machines, Grinding / Grooving machines, Thermoplastic application and melting devices, Epoxy and Polyeurea application trucks, Hydro-demolition trucks and a variety of related machinery.
- Develops documents and enforces sales policies, standard operating procedures and best practices for tracking opportunities within Salesforce.
- Leverages technology and improves processes by managing and leading the sales team to include the existing agents.
- Builds, develops and manages the sales team including recruiting new members if needed, driving accountability both of activity and results. Disciplines or terminates team members if necessary. Rewards outstanding performance.
- Continually improves the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhances productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Partners with the marketing department to develop lead generation, coordinates with production, logistics, customer service & Engineering to insure best chances of on time delivery and exceeding customer expectations.
- Participates in industry trade shows domestically and internationally.
- Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
- Lead and direct a sales team to meet and exceed sales revenue, sales profitability and budgetary objectives.
- Creates a positive working environment by writing and delivering team member reviews in order to keep close tabs on team member morale to increase and surpass sales goals.
- Ensures sales team members are equipped with the product, system and selling-skills & training that they require to be successful.
- Ability to travel globally (domestic and international) for 25% or more of time.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field preferred.
A minimum of five years' experience in a senior Sales role, preferably with a manufacturing company or selling industrial products, or selling something in the traffic marking space so as to have existing relationships with road marking contractors and the associated awareness of someone working in this space.
Experience equipment related to highway or runway striping would be a plus.
Evidence of success in a leadership role managing technical sales and commercial negotiations
Self-motivated and disciplined, highly organized and goal oriented meeting timelines and deliverables
Must be a solid confident communicator.
Must have a demonstrated ability to understand and communicate competitive advantages.
Must be fluent in English, ability to speak other languages is a plus
Technically sound in customer relationship management systems (CRM) such as Sales Force, basic knowledge and use of social media, able to use communication tools including GoToMeeting, WebEx, LiveMeeting, Zoom and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Supervisory Responsibility - this position is responsible for the direct supervision of a sales force of 7-10 persons.
Work Environment - this job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. That said, you are expected to be available to the customer base and other executives within the company as needed.
Travel – this position requires ability to travel globally (domestic and international) as needed.
