Job Description:
An experienced and talented GM will be able to make a tremendous impact in this hotel. Must have prior hotel GM experience, and see themselves as a leader who attains SATISFACTION through SUCCESS. Looking for a Brand Manager who can lead by example and hire the right people, motivate, mentor, coach, inspire, teach them to be part of a successful team lead by taking responsibility for both success and failure.
This 115 room Holiday Inn Express is a property in great condition and is the best hotel on the West side of Cincinnati..

Requirements:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manages all sources of revenues and expenses including the rooms, housekeeping, engineering, and other departments. Ensures all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships.
- Creates local marketing plans and pricing strategies and knows market segments. Responds quickly to changing market conditions and revises strategies accordingly.
- Actively participates in sales discussions, meetings and plans. Knows key account executives and business base. Knows monthly production levels for each sales person on the staff. Participates in Bi Weekly RMH calls for the hotel.
- Promotes hotel's policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct and indirect interaction.
- Involved in creating the hotel's annual budget and monitors the performance of the hotel throughout the year.
- Reviews and produces analysis of monthly financial reports and knows at all times where the hotel stands against budget.
- Performs human resources functions of the hotel like controlling turnover, motivating employees, focusing on employee training, development and retention and conducting regular employee meetings.
- Protects the hotel and its assets through enforcing and overseeing that a preventative maintenance program is being done in a timely manner to maintain the product quality at high standards.
- Reviews marketing calls quarterly to maintain a thorough understanding of market conditions
- Completes a direct bill audit quarterly but review the direct bill reports on the month end reports to see any apparent issues and discuss those with management to be resolved.
- Review P&Ls with ownership, review daily, weekly, bi-weekly, month end, quarterly and annual reports.
- Review Payroll Analysis and control OT, MPR and RPH
- Get familiarized with and use ihgmerlin.com and other franchise specified help sites for tools. Keeps up with industry news and trends
- Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives
- Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to ownership. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Work with ownership to set up Policies and Procedures. Follows and implements company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
- Ensures hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health laws
Working requirements:
- Will be required to work nights, some weekends and holidays as needed.
- May be required to travel.
- Will be required to work in fast paced environment.
- Will be required to be on call when away from work.
