The Food and Beverage Associate will be responsible for providing excellent guest service as it pertains to the food and beverage outlets of hotel. You will promptly address guest service needs, complete food orders and request, clean and stock all areas based on inventory control, set and serve tables as well as execute room sets. You could be asked to prepare breakfast buffet or dinner and drinks for guests or even serve and host guests’ events and parties.
Essential for a Food and Beverage Associate
1. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for the Food and Beverage function of the hotel: Promptly greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure orders are taken accurately and completely. Offer ideas and suggestions to guests when ordering. Ensure the packaged products are stocked, maintain cleanliness of all food and beverage areas, and assist in preparation of food orders and buffets and room sets.
2. Guest Relations: Maintain positive guest, manager and associate relationships: Respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction. Resolve guest issues to resolution in effort to improve the guest experience and escalate any outstanding guest inquiries or concerns to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up. Make appropriate service recovery recommendations. Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
3*. Ensure Compliance*: Quality Assurance, Hotel Operating Procedures, Food and Beverage Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Loss Prevention and Emergency Procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food in a manner consistent with health regulations and company guidelines
- Willingness to be cross-trained in both register sales and the café, banquets, bartending and participate in duties such as: cashiering, beverage stocking and prep, room sets and tear downs and food service
- Be a strong contributor to a teamwork environment
- Follow company rules and regulations and logs with no variance
- Greet all guests with a smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
Position Requirements:
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment involving frequent squatting, bending, twisting and lifting up to 40 lbs. and spending on average 8 hours per day standing on feet, shifts lengths vary
-Excellent customer service and people skills
-Ability to work a variety of day, night, weekend and holiday shifts up to 40 hours per week
-Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills -must be able to read, write and speak English
-Ability to meet and/or exceed customer service expectations
Knowledge and Experience:
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Culinary food and beverage experience is a plus

-Washington State Food Handlers Card and MAST Card
