Qualifications:
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Responsible for timely coding charts in accordance with the current principles of ICD-10 and AHA coding guidelines.
- Supports the Health Information Services Department through a variety of clerical, technical, and related support services
- Assembles medical records and perform other daily duties within the Health Information Management Services department as assigned.

Licensure/Certification:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in ICD-10-CM coding , filing, record-keeping, and basic computer skills.
- Knowledgeable of general medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and psychiatric terms and diagnosis.
- Skills in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate a professional and personal demeanor with customers on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of State/Federal and HIPAA laws pertaining to patient confidentiality and release of protected health information.
