Job Overview

The Capacity Planner is the main liaison between HOLLY HUNT and our mill and tannery partners. Through constant contact, the CP will manage mill and tannery partners performance, intercompany communication, and life cycle of all open purchase orders across Great Plains, Great Outdoors, Great Plains Trim, HOLLY HUNT Leather and HOLLY HUNT Wallcovering. Communicating pro-actively with the BU Director to resolve overall issues and help improve mill and tannery partners performance.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintains close working relationships with the assigned mill and tannery partners

  • Purchase orders in Navision and schedule the orders based on published lead times.

  • Pull and send weekly order updates to mill and tannery partners of all open orders, identify priorities and/or orders that require special attention

  • Update Navision based on new information received and communicate any major date changes and/or mill and tannery partners issues to BU Director

  • Update Inbound Priority Report to identify priorities for the receipt and inspection process

  • Collaborate with Warehouse and BU Director to approve or decline Cuttings for Approval

  • Provide shipping instructions to mill and tannery partners based on cost analysis and BU direction

  • Collaborate with International and Domestic Freight teams to identify and resolve in transit delays

  • Process all invoices for transition to HH Accounting department

  • Main liaison between HH Accounting department and our mill and tannery partners to resolve invoicing issues

  • Maintain closing of all purchase orders in Navision working directly with HH Accounting to close

  • Collaborate with Inbound Manager and BU Director to identify and resolve quality issues through processing of RTV’s

  • Maintain data integrity within Navision as it pertains to:
    • Lead times
    • Costing
    • Mill and tannery partners references

  • Main liaison between Client Services to support client needs. This includes:
    • Increasing existing purchase orders with approval from BU Director
    • Improving purchase order ship dates
    • Communicating date changes and reasoning behind delays

  • Track mill and tannery partners performance by measuring Manufacturing On Time, Lead Times, and Quality. When performance metrics are not met, work with the mill and tannery partners on solutions to meet metrics.

  • Provide order forecasts to mill and tannery partners so that they can plan for future production volumes when applicable
  • Drive mill and tannery partners process improvements between HH and the mill and tannery partners to allow for more efficient, consistent and value-added business transactions.


Required Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP a plus
  • High sense of urgency and strong communication skills
  • Experience with textiles is a plus


Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, degree in Supply Chain or related discipline preferred
  • 2-5 Years of experience in Capacity Planning or related field
