The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, reviewing, validating and structuring business data for interpretation across multiple agency departments. The Data Analyst Performs data mining, developing SQL and other database queries, creates standardized and ad hoc reports and performs statistical analysis on the results of mined data to derive insight and support better business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts data analysis to make business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit, invest-divest, forecasting, predictive, what-if, impact analysis, etc.)
- Owns data cleansing and verifies accuracy for various data elements used by the agency.
- Develops and manages processes, roles, security access, standards, data quality/integrity, etc. to ensure effective and efficient use of data throughout the agency’s many data systems.
- Delivers effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, creates visual displays of information gathered from a variety of data systems.
- Develops, modifies, and automates reports, iteratively builds and prototypes dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs of management personnel and departments.
- Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulates complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis and presentations, through scorecards and dashboards to be used primarily to drive quality improvement efforts.
- Trains and enables self-service reporting capability and use of agency reporting tools for management and staff.
- Designs SharePoint Online solutions, sites, parts, and record storage options to house the results of data analysis efforts, dashboards and fingertip reports generated out of the agency’s data systems.
- Administers and maintains agency database applications that are linked to SharePoint sites.
- Designs and develops dynamic reports and publishes reports to SharePoint sites.
- Represents the Quality & Compliance Department on workgroups and follows through on providing reporting and/or SharePoint solutions to agency objectives as determined by these workgroups.
- Provides documentation on all system procedures and changes and maintains system manuals, use case scenarios, data collection plans and other relevant documentation.
- Performs other duties related to the essential duties of the position within the individual’s capabilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of three years’ experience working with MS SQL, MS Access, Power BI and MS SharePoint required. Knowledge of CareLogic EMR desired.
