Who we are hiring for..
Job Title: Floor Cleaner
Hours: 8AM-4:30PM – some nights/over nights may be required.
Essential Functions:
· Auto scrubbing floors of facility, and/or other areas as instructed to include sweeping, damp/wet mopping, running the floor cleaner and floor polisher.
· Vacuum and shampoo carpets regularly.
· Sweep and mop stairwells.
· Use machine to clean and disinfect residents’ chairs or couches.
· Striping and waxing the floors as needed
· Cleaning and maintaining your equipment
· Report potential maintenance issues or resident problems to the proper department or department manager following established process.
· Work to ensue overall cleanliness, disinfection, and safety of the areas assigned.
· Always adhere to all safety precautions and standard operating procedures.

Competitive pay: Holy Spirit Retirement Home has a minimum starting wage of $15.00 for all departments. The pay is increased based on position, and experience. We offer evening and night shift differentials, as well as pick-up-shift bonuses. We also observe 9 paid holidays.
Referral bonuses:
Of course, we offer an employee referral bonus for both full-time, part-time, and PRN employees.
Full-time employees can receive a referral bonus of $350.00 at 3 and 6 months.
Part-time employees can receive a referral bonus of $250.00 at 3 and 6 months.
PRN employees can receive a referral bonus of $125.00 at 3 and 6 months.
These are applicable across all departments.

What we require...
Employees hired by Holy Spirit Retirement Home are subject to COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Newly hired staff must be fully vaccinated or willing to obtain the first dose of a two-dose series, prior to begin employment. Newly hired staff who are not yet fully vaccinated must follow the guidelines for additional precautions, until they are fully vaccinated.
· We also require all our employees to have a Mandatory Reporter Certificate for adult abuse. This is free to obtain at the https://dhs.iowa.gov/ website. This is a prerequisite and employees cannot start work until this is completed.
· All Holy Spirit Retirement Home employees are required to pass a physical, drug test, TB test, and thorough background check before employment may begin.
· High School Diploma or the equivalent
· Must possess a current and unrestricted driver’s license.
