Home Power Systems is a Generac, Kohler, and Cummins generator dealer with locations in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, NY. HPS is the leading installer of automatic home standby generators in Western and Central New York having installed over 6,000 home standby generators and having over 12,000 current service and preventive maintenance customers.
Home Power systems is looking to expand our team and is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager for our Farmington, NYlocation. Responsible for facilitating a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving, inventory, loading/unloading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, keeping the warehouse stocked with essential equipment, and fleet maintenance. Adherence of all policies and procedures of the Risk Management Plan. Maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse space. Develop and deliver training to support safety and operational excellence.

Salary Range: $50,000-$58,000

Responsibilities:
- Warehouse
- Daily communication with suppliers, vendors, and sales representatives to ensure order arrives on time, accurately, and free of damages.
- Follow the receiving process when orders are received.
- Prepare equipment, bases, and other items for installation team.
- Assign equipment in company CRM for the next day’s jobs.
- Warehouse organization.
- Time Management of Warehouse Associates.
- Facilitate Warehouse Standards and Procedures.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline daily activities.
- Operates forklift.
- Inventory
- Inventory Management.
- Ordering parts both for specific jobs and inventory stock.
- Process and approve invoices for payment.
- Lead full inventory counts, cycle counts, and replenishment in warehouse and technician vans in all three locations.
- Review stock lists and recommend relocation of excess stock.
- Provide reports on current inventory and past trends.
- Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.
- Fleet
- Assign vehicles for newly onboarding employees.
- Add new drivers to fleet roster and manage required DMV paperwork.
- Schedule vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Lead sign-off process for vehicles and tools assigned to newly onboarding employees.
- Oversee Maintenance and upkeep of all Parts Running Vehicles.
- Deals with MVR accidents and works with the GPS system Samsera.
- Safety
- Process Workers Compensation Claims.
- Resides as the expert in OSHA compliance and regulations.
- Develop and facilitate required OSHA or Workers Compensation training in partnership with the Human Resources Manager.
- Oversees company safety incentives and programs managed effectively and consistently, including assignment of safety points.
- CPR training.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of previous warehouse experience, inventory processes, or related positions required.
- Outstanding customer service skills - you must be committed to achieving complete customer satisfaction, every time.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via phone and email.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills.
- The ability to stay on task and meet tight deadlines.
- A clean driver's license.
Knowledge of Generators, Electrical, and/or insulation industries preferred.
