The Job
The Lead Technical Recruiter provides strategic talent acquisition advisory services to Homebase hiring managers. The Lead Recruiter is responsible for leading the recruiting process by proactively sourcing, screening, and providing their managers qualified pre-screened candidates with a high degree of client service.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Partner with hiring managers across Homebase’s technical teams to obtain knowledge of their business and advise them regarding talent strategy, hiring decisions, workforce planning
- Use multiple traditional and innovative sourcing and engagement channels to source top talent always through the lens of DE&I
- Build, engage and maintain talent pipelines of qualified, pre-screened candidates for current and future openings
- Providing hiring managers with detailed information on talent market intelligence, sourcing strategy, recruiting process, legal guidelines and compliance
- Manager offer process and negotiation
- Create and deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience
- Partner with Recruiting Director to evaluate current recruiting processes and best practices with an aim to improve and/or develop and implement world class talent acquisition practices
- This is an individual contributor position initially, but may lead into a leadership opportunity if desired
- This position offers a hybrid, remote forward work environment
The Lead Technical Recruiter position is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of the Homebase Recruiting team. This is an exciting time as we are building out the Recruiting function so that we can support Homebase as it scales rapidly. It is expected that you will grow with Homebase and play a key role in building out the Recruiting function.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative individual with deep knowledge of technical recruiting (specifically difficult to find SW Engineering and Manager profiles). You will be an advocate for candidates, from first contact through onboarding. We are looking for someone who has worked in a fast-paced, change prone environment, thrives in ambiguity, craves ownership, is attentive to details, eager to design and drive processes, is experienced with recruiting systems and sourcing tools, and has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities
- Full-cycle technical recruiting with a focus on SW engineering and leadership
- Proactively partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, job specifications and duties, and develop a sourcing strategy to source and pre-qualify potential candidates
- Review requisition descriptions for accuracy, develop compelling gender.ethnicity neutral job advertisements and post to numerous channels
- Directly source and screen candidates for open requisitions and build talent pipelines for future talent needs
- Work closely with Hiring Managers to interview candidates with velocity, not ever sacrificing quality
- Selling Homebase’s value proposition to candidates and prospective candidates
- Thoroughly reference check all candidates
- Partner with the People Ops team to ensure equitable offers
- Ensure compliance with Homebase policies and procedures
- Train managers on the recruiting process and share updates as applicable
- Track and analyze metrics and report on hiring progress to business leadership on a regular cadence
- In partnership with the Recruiting team, improve, develop and implement scalable, innovative talent acquisition strategies and processes
- Mentor junior team members
Must-Have
- 7 years of full-cycle recruiting, professional recruiting experience in fast-paced work environments
- 4 years relevant technical recruiting experience
- 4 years in-house, corporate experience as part of a productive and collaborative team
- Ability to build and maintain trusting and consultative relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the organization
- Proficiency in selling/pitching the company’s value proposition to candidates from initial contact through onboarding
- Managing the entire recruiting process from the lens of diversity and inclusion (sourcing, attraction, assessment and selection)
- Advanced proficiency using LinkedIn Recruiter and other talent sourcing platforms (IE Hired, Seekout, Hiretual, StackOverflow)
- Successful track record utilizing social media channels for talent attraction purposes
- Demonstrated track record or direct candidate sourcing and networking online and in person (meetups, job fairs, conferences, diversity events, etc.)
- Applicant tracking experience
- Understanding of immigration and employment visas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Top-notch organizational skills and a demonstrated agility, effectiveness, and comfort with prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment with constant change

- Educational or work experience as an engineer or in other technical discipline
- Established network of Engineers in our office and hub locations
