What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loss Prevention Associate position at HomeGoods?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service/ Security -Engages customers at the front door, creates a positive shopping
environment, and provides support (ex: provides shopping carts or answers customer questions).
Observes proper checkout procedure for customers and associates. Provides an effective
deterrent to theft by maintaining a professional and knowledgeable presence at front end.
Engages customers in high shrink departments to provide a positive shopping experience.
Partnership /Operations/Safety -Responds to EAS alarms. Audits EAS tagging and ticketing
for compliance. Understands how operational procedures affect shortage. Communicates
shrink-related concerns to management and loss prevention. Maintains an effective partnership
with Store Management and LP team members to accomplish work assignments and overall
goals/objectives. Coordinates and executes shrink reduction activities in conjunction with
management. Performs daily recovery to ensure a neat/clean and safe store (ex: picking up
hangers, debris).
Culture of Honesty- Drives a culture of honesty by encouraging associate use of company
Shrink Reduction Programs/resources (e.g., Tip line/Hotline, Shrink Committee, Associate
Awareness Training). Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information..
Individual/Interpersonal -Identifies, prioritizes/organizes workload and manages time effectively
(balanced performance). Adapts to changes in work schedules and policies – is
dependable/flexible. Follows through on commitments and work schedules accordingly. Takes
initiative; works well independently. Accomplishes goals with minimum supervision. Adheres to
and supports company values/policies. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
