Homestead Construction is currently seeking a Superintendent who will work collaboratively with our construction team, procurement staff, and field team.
Responsibilities Include:
• Assisting the on-site construction team.
• Coordinating and overseeing all work and trades on site.
• Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
• Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
• Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness.
• Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
• Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
• Leading and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
Requirements
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- BA degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or Field Experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge in construction principles and methods, environmental regulations, workplace safety, and employee supervision.
- Ability to be flexible and work well in a fast-paced environment while handling simultaneously occurring tasks and small projects.
- Proven experience creatively managing projects and people on time and on budget.
- Excellent communication skills, solid decision-making capabilities, and a customer service attitude.
- Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
- Proficient with scheduling software, and CAE and CAD applications.
- Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents.
- Ability to run a schedule
- Familiar with MS Project
- Have Procore Experience
- Effectively run the subcontractor meetings and ability to communicate with the team.
- OSHA 30 Hour
