The Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a data analyst interested in sharing their love of data! You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of highly visible, exciting analytics projects while impacting the growth of our company. At Hometown, we are currently moving to a cloud based architecture for our reporting, data and analytics functions. You will work with the team of product managers, data engineers, delivery managers, and stakeholders to enable business workflows. By identifying data to explore for analysis, you will engage with our business and build the data structures needed to gain actionable insights.
What You'll Do:
- Create new datasets and manage existing datasets to be used in Tableau visualizations.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to effectively present data findings.
- Build effective working relationships with subject matter experts.
- Explain gaps and technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences and work with them to define business requirements and key business drivers.
- Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to better understand trends, relationships between variables, and to assist the users in formulating predictive insights.
- Develop reports to assist with understanding opportunities for improvement and to aid in decision making.
- Perform data analysis using SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to assist in data-driven decision making processes.
- Assist stakeholders in analyzing current and historical data to make predictions and identify risks and opportunities.
- Create and maintain user guide documents.
- Provide production support and quality assurance.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing.
- Periodically review systems to ensure client needs are met and identify possible modifications as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Who You're Accountable For:
This position would act as an individual contributor and have no supervisory or direct reports responsibilities.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Tableau Certified Data Analyst preferred, or 2 years of equivalent experience. Tableau Data Analyst Certification required within one year of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Design, Human Factors, Computer Science or related discipline (e.g., Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering); Master’s degree is preferred.
- A confident understanding of reporting design concepts.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Strong analytical aptitude and an understanding of statistical methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple professionals; Directors, C-level suite, Sales teams, Finance, Product Managers, Engineering and Revenue teams.
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to learn, lead, coach, teach, and inspire required.
- Time management skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times ever-evolving environment.
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau and SQL knowledge required.
- Experience with JIRA preferred.
- Power BI and Pendo background a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, GSuite or related software.

Salary : $63,700 - $80,700
