What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Care Administrator position at Homewatch CareGivers of North Oklahoma City?
Role: The Administrator is a qualified person appointed by the Governing Body/Owner to administer, direct, and coordinate the activities of the agency. The Administrator assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operation, and is a direct employee of the agency.
Scope of Position: Reports to the governing body and/or owner
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
The appointed Administrator for the agency must meet the following qualifications:
1. Current Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Certificate (OHCAPA) or able to obtain in 30 days.
2. Minimum of 5 years supervisory or administrative experience in home care
3. Possess excellent problem solving techniques and abilities
4. Knowledgeable of the statutory and administrative rules of the state’s regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance within the agency
5. Communicate in clear, concise language to direct agency staff and activities
6. Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results
Major Responsibilities
The Administrator manages client services, provides supervision and annual reviews for all home care service staff, and is responsible for:
1. Oversight of client care plans to ensure they are complete, accurate and up to date
2. Software experience with Word, Excel and other applications
3. Record review
4. Policies and procedure compliance
5. Oversight of all training including orientation, case orientation and on-going training
6. Client, caregiver, and outside care collaborator relations
7. Ensuring compliance with all business and/or employee contracts
8. Direct care supervision
9. Compliance with all state and federal regulations
10. On call responsibilities
11. Any other duty as requested by the owner or governing body, to maintain the operations of the business including caregiving duties
Physical Qualifications
1. Able to work an average of 40 hours per week.
2. Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day.
3. Able to lift 20-30 pounds.
4. Able to use tools necessary for job.
5. Able to communicate effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
