Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Implement care plans and ensure residents' needs are met
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are maintained
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with medication administration under the direction of healthcare professionals

Skills:
- Experience in hospice care or patient care is desirable
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficient in meal preparation and assisting with feeding if required
- Knowledge of lifting techniques for heavy lifting tasks
- Understanding of resident rights and ethical care practices
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.17 per hour
