A position has opened up in Honeywell Intelligrated for an ambitious Materials Planning/Management Professional. You will report to the Senior Manager of Material Planning and Inventory, with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate your planning skills and play an instrumental role in the success of the company.
As a Materials Planner, you will perform the Materials Planning across the Site/Network for your assigned business or channel. You will support multiple Honeywell manufacturing sites to execute the vision and goals for the Materials Planning function.
You will partner with the SBG / CORP COE and SME's to deploy the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM) and facilitate the full adoption of Kinaxis RapidResponse planning tools across your network where required.
You will ensure raw materials replenishment plans align to the network Supply & Production Plans and achieve maximum customer satisfaction and ensure working capital remains within the business goals. You will ensure the network Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) will satisfy the network Constrained Master Production Schedules (MPS). You will work with the master data teams to ensure all BOM and master data in the ERP system is correct and up to date. You will own the plan for every part (PFEP) analysis and will ensure the correct stock entitlement is reflected in the systems and adhered to. You will partner with the Production Planning and Buying leaders to ensure materials are delivered to the sites/network on time whilst achieving the ISC goals of cost control and working capital targets.
You will be closely involved in product lifecycle events and transitions to ensure the network raw materials replenishment strategy delivers on the product portfolio vitality goals. You will partner with the production planning and buying leaders to create and execute your site/network materials replenishment plans. You will attend monthly SIOP Supply Review meetings at the site/network level to approve the site/network material replenishment plans and to present these and the associated risks and mitigating plans to the Business leadership in the Supply & Reconciliation meetings. You will demonstrate how the site/network Production plans satisfy the site/network supply plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement plan to optimize inventory and improve material availability
- Drive implementation of robust material PFEP process … ABC classification, lead time, SSL, MOQ, DOS, FDS, etc
- Ensure proper demand signals are provided to sourcing and supply/demand are aligned
- Improve demand forecasting process and accuracy
- Set stocking and replenishment strategies to support maximum service with minimum inventories to meet AOP
- Ensure material master data and inventory record accuracy
- Ensure materials plan is accurate and current
- Provide input and participate in SIOP process
- Work closely with commodity management to address supply availability for constrained commodities and provide recommended solutions
- Participate in continuous improvement projects/kaizens
- Continuously improve material management processes to drive better business results
- Identify material related issues and work with procurement to resolve material constraints
- Coordinate engineering change activities with procurement and/or Honeywell sites
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong data analytics and Microsoft Excel expertise
- Prior experience in material planning, manufacturing and/or procurement/sourcing
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills … ability to work cross functionally
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related operations management, supply chain management or equivalent
- Experience in Supply Planning, operations planning/scheduling, materials management or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area
- Six Sigma / Lean Experience
- APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications; experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse is a huge plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize and delegate
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
