Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Summary: At the Philadelphia Hand and Shoulder Center, we diagnose, treat, repair and manage the complete rehabilitation of injuries to the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provides patient care in accordance with established protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Responsible for timely documentation, including but not limited to daily notes, weekly workers compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
- Responsible for assuring that patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments.
- Responsible for conveying to patients the importance of complying with established plans of care, including home exercise programs and minimizing cancellations and no show of appointments.
- Consults with referring physicians as needed through documentation and as well as verbally.
- Responsible for always maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct that best represents the company.
- Coordinates participation in sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to help patients or disabled persons develop or regain physical or mental functions or adjust to disabilities.
- Consults with other members of rehabilitation team to select activity program consistent with needs and capabilities of individual and to coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.
- Selects constructive activities suited to individual’s physical capacity, intelligence level, and Interest to upgrade individual to maximum independence, prepare individual for return to employment, assist in restoration of functions, and aid in adjustment to disability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist, or eligible to be a licensed as Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania required.
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) License required.
