Position Summary: Provides rape crisis advocacy to sexual violence survivors and co-survivors. Provides education regarding the Rape Crisis Center services and other pertinent community services as needed.
  • Represent the mission and philosophy of the Rape Crisis Center at all times
  • Maintain confidentiality of information learned through one’s employment at the Rape Crisis Center
  • Serve in staff on-call rotation (hotline/hospital) to provide support to volunteers or direct service in the event a volunteer is not available
  • Maintain anonymous/confidential record-keeping for all survivors and co-survivor contacts
  • Assist Volunteer & Intern Coordinator with rape crisis advocacy training for volunteers and volunteer supervision
  • Work closely with allied professionals and all victim advocacy agencies to ensure collaboration and cross training
  • Adheres to Service Excellence standards at all times
  • Represent the Rape Crisis Center in community activities, coalitions and taskforce groups as assigned by supervisor
  • Complies with agency and program policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, and educational/ certification/ registry requirements
  • Provide services at the Summit County Child Advocacy (CARE) Center
  • Assist direct service team with evaluation of services
  • Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with diverse populations.
