Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking an IT Specialist to join our team. This position will be based out of our Athens, OH site.
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of computer equipment, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing phone, remote, and on-site support to customers in a timely manner and will be required to occasionally work after hours or weekends to ensure minimal impact of IT changes during business hours.
Some additional responsibilities include but are NOT limited to:
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, including scanners and printers
- Perform computer maintenance, repair, and upgrades
- Utilize OS imaging software to build computers
- Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
- Configure VPN on customer laptops and troubleshoot connectivity problems
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor (full job description will be available during interview or upon request)
What do we look for in our IT Specialists??
- AA/AS Degree in related field and 1-3 years of related experience
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications preferred, but not required
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong organizational skills
- Effective customer service and documentation skills and essential
- Ability to provide on-call support and work occasional weekend hours
- Must be a self-starter and work with limited supervision
- Must be able to travel to all HHC offices
