Guest Ambassador

WHAT: Hopscotch is an immersive and experiential brand that brings together local, national and international artists in collaborative environments to create distinctive shared experiences. We believe art can be a vessel to tell stories and illuminate important messages of the past, present, and future. We aim to elicit a sense of joy and wonder in the spaces we create; where our guests may playfully explore beyond their day to day and leave reality behind. Hours of Operation (May Shift Based on Demand)

• Wednesday & Thursday 11am - 9pm
• Friday & Saturday 11am - 11pm
• Sunday 11am - 9pm

• Currently, Hopscotch is closed Monday and Tuesday, but will expand operating hours due to demand for events or summer hours.

• Some additional shifts may be available for private events or installation maintenance

**Ideal candidates must be available to work every weekend.

**$13 per hour compensation to start with a review for performance based raise after 90 days. Free parking during your shifts, parking garage is attached to the building, monthly comped tickets and discounts to our Retail store after 30 days.

JOB DESCRIPTION: GUEST AMBASSADOR

Hopscotch is looking for hospitality professionals, students, hosts, guides, creative types, actors, artists, comedians, dancers, etc. If you love to talk and engage with people and are passionate about being a part of a team that provides a great customer experience to its guests then you will be a perfect fit for Guest Ambassador. You must be reliable, have no fear of strangers, love to put smiles on people’s faces and take on challenges with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the Hopscotch brand with integrity and enthusiasm.

• Perform and deliver a script to over hundreds of people a day.

• Engage and entertain visitors and help to enhance their experience.

• May check in guests, greet guests, work the merchandise area, be assigned various exhibits etc.

• Set-up and close down assigned exhibits / rooms.

• Ensure cleanliness of station and overall space at all times.

• Work cooperatively as part of a team and independently.

• Interact with customers to provide top notch service.

• Engage and entertain, be photographed and socialize, take photographs.

• Describe installations with enthusiasm while also monitoring them to ensure they aren’t tampered with.

• Must have a genuine love and ability to talk with strangers young and old.

• Ability to work as part of a professional on a team - Excellent verbal communication.

• Strong desire to work as part of a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team in a fast- paced, out-of-the-box environment.

• You must be willing to work inside or outside and are willing to play any role at Hopscotch.

• You are willing to stand for long periods of time in spaces that are of varying size and light.

Experiences > Things

Hopscotch San Antonio is our first permanent location, 20,000 square foot space located in the heart of downtown. It will consist of our ticketed gallery experience that includes 13 unique installations as well as our public space that includes a lounge, gift shop, outdoor patio and food truck.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Flexible schedule (must be able to work evenings, weekends and some holidays, as events require)
