Responsibilities
- Performs administrative and technical duties associated with the DB/2 environment. Includes DB/2 development, support, tuning and maintenance of the database environments.
- May include applying patches, upgrades, performance analysis, optimizations.
- Migrate data between database environments (development, test and production)
- Implement, monitor and maintain database system security, ensure proper user accessibility; oversee security procedures
- Develop, implement, maintain and enforce policies and procedures for databases administration
- Develop and review data models and SQL queries
- Support the Corporate Data Management and Data Governance programs
- Support the IT developer community with their development efforts as it pertains to DB/2
Requirements
- Requires Bachelor's degree or more than 3 years related experience in database administration
- Knowledge of relational database platforms with an enterprise view of the data domain
