Qualifications
The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for assisting with, and/or leading, the development, implementation, and administration of various employee/management relations-related projects and activities, including: supporting staff with policy clarification and resolution of concerns; partnering with management on performance management and improvement activities; assisting with the development and delivery of supervisory and leadership development training; and other activities that support the performance and culture initiatives of Horizon.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, human resources, organization development, or a related field.
Four (4) years of experience with responsibility for human resources, organization development, employee relations, and/or performance improvement functions, including two (2) years of experience conducting internal investigations and/or resolving employee relations issues.
Solid understanding of human resource and organization management theory, concepts, best practices, and procedures.
Expertise in systems thinking and process facilitation.
Demonstrated ability to lead with flexibility and adapt during times of ambiguity.
Ability to analyze and interpret data, variables, and situations.
Strong attention to details and accuracy.
Ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff across the organization.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Maintain a strong ethical practice and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Possess valid Arizona driver’s license, with safe driving record.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check.
May require occasional travel to outlying Arizona sites/offices.

Able to operate phone, fax, copier and a computer.
Able to operate Agency vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Human Resources/Organization Development or equivalent education/experience in relevant area.
