The Sales Representative is responsible for overseeing an assigned base of Business Partners focused on driving improved sales performance in proprietary and distributed brands.
The goal is to gain shelf space and market share for Horizon Hobby. Responsible for reaching monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals assigned by the Wholesale Sales Manager. Primary function of the job is making outbound and taking inbound calls from all Horizon business partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Generates sales by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Develops sales opportunities by building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and identifying new revenue streams with Business Partners.
- Fills orders by entering orders in AS400 portal, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining back orders.
- Focus on new product placement and program execution with assigned territory.
- Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, credit limits, suggesting related and new items, and explaining features, advantages, and benefits of Horizon proprietary and distributed brands.
- Maintains and improves brand performance by sharing feedback from Business partners.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product spec sheets, attending weekly product training meetings and participating in educational opportunities designed to improve overall business knowledge.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by focusing on company defined KPI’s.
