Horizon Home Health and Hospice is a family owned company. Relibability is key. This is an office basesd position Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00pm The Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring that work is finished on schedule and up to standard, and providing guidance. The Office Manager will provide clerical support as assigned and telephone support.
Role and Responsibilities
· Contributing Member of an Interdisciplinary Team
o Answer and direct incoming calls, following proper phone procedures and policies, and take messages when necessary.
o Manage incoming and outgoing faxes.
o Manage and Order Medical supplies.
o Assist field staff with visit frequency, authorization, and scheduling as need.
o Maintains resources such as new patient packets for clinical staff.
· Education and Teaching
o Manages training and checkoffs for staff as needed.
oParticipate in new hires and basic new hire orientation
o Participates in ongoing and annual training and in-services as required by regulations and company policy and procedure.
o Maintain all license, certification, and other documentation required to fulfill state, federal, and company requirements.
· Builds Relationships
o Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and take orders from management personnel.
o Contact referring and managing MDs to obtain all required documentation, including orders, face-to-face, and medical records.
o Foster a positive relationship between Primary Care Physicians and patients/caregivers to improve patient outcomes.
o Maintain a consistent and reliable patient visit schedule that meets the patients' needs and visit frequency and communicates with the administrative team as needed for updates and adjustments.
· Other Responsibilities
o Participate in peer review and performance improvement projects as assigned.
o Must be able to handle rapidly changing situations.
o Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, and personal computers.
o Travel as needed.
o Other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Minimum education of a high school diploma
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Good problem-solving skills.
· Good planning and organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
· Detail-oriented and flexible.
· Multi-task-oriented and able to work in a busy office environment.
· Utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain a professional demeanor.
· Valid driver's license or state ID
· Must be self-disciplined and have efficient time management skills.
· Must be able to work independently but with a focus on team-centered care.
· Proficient with office software such as Excel and Word
Preferred Skills
· 1 year of scheduling or office support experience in a medical or home health environment
Work Environment
· Work indoors in agency office with travel to and from various locations as needed.
Job Relationships

Lifting Requirements
· Ability to participate in physical activity, lifting, bending, squatting, and standing regularly.
· Ability to work for extended periods while standing.
· Ability to lift/reposition from 10 to 50 lbs. independently.
