Do you work well with your hands? Are you interested in creating products? We currently have an opening for a molder where you can assemble mold parts, fill molds and stack molds to cast a variety of products. You’ll learn how we create our products and monitor our machines to make sure our processes are being followed correctly. This interesting position lets you make things using the latest tools, machines and technology. You’ll have a variety of tasks and projects as well as possibilities for challenge and growth. Job Responsibilities
- Read work orders or examine parts to determine which parts or sections of products are required to be produced, define product specifications and outline materials requirements
- Remove or trim excess material from products, using knives, scrapers or band saws
- Place materials into molds and models by pouring, spreading, packing or pressing plaster, liquid plastic, concrete or other materials around or into them
- Spray or brush mold surfaces with parting agents, or insert paper into molds to confirm smoothness and prevent seepage or sticking
- Stamp or engrave designs, identifying letters, numbers, symbols or other markings onto products, workpieces or materials
- Use depth gauges and hand tools to insert and adjust wires, cores, tubes, rods, fittings or patterns into molds while aligning the parts and workpieces for proper assembly
- Separate patterns or models from molds and check removed workpieces or products for accuracy
- Apply coolants or lubricants to molds and mold parts, and clean workpieces or finished products

Initially located in Salt Lake City, it moved to Nephi in 1997, where it is located today.
