Job Posting for RN - Registered Nurse, NIGHTS Full-time, IPU (Inpatient Unit/Butterfly Wing) at Hospice Foundation of Greater Baton Rouge
The Hospice of Baton Rouge, Inpatient Unit (The Butterfly Wing), is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse, NIGHT SHIFT – 7PM to 7AM.
The hours for this position require working 12-hour shifts; 7PM – 7AM rotating between weekdays and weekends
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; hospice experience a plus
- Current Louisiana RN License
- Current CPR Certification
- Use the nursing process to establish a nursing care plan in accordance with established policies and standards of care
- Maintain records, reports, and forms that are accurate and contain quality content per documentation policies
- Anticipate patient/family needs and utilize the interdisciplinary team and community resources appropriately
- Anticipate and initiate nursing interventions to prevent complications and alleviate symptoms of physical and psychological discomfort
- Anticipate and meet emergency or crisis situations both physical and emotional
- Educate the patient and family on plans of care and implications of the diagnosis and prognosis
- Interact with all members of the interdisciplinary team and provide nursing aspects to help plan the total needs of the patient/family
