What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - RN (PRN) position at Hospice?
Participation in on-call rotation is necessary, around 1 weekend day a month and 1-2 week days a month
The Home Health RN:
- Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the patient’s needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments at appropriate time points.
- Initiate the plan of care and revise as necessary.
- Provide nursing services and/or treatments indicated on plan of care.
- Counsel and educate the patient and family on disease process, self-care techniques and prevention strategies.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be a graduate of an approved nursing program and own a current Florida RN license.
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Minimum one year experience providing direct patient care; previous experience as a home health RN preferred.
